About Extra Care

Extra Care is a private duty nursing service that provides 24-hour care, seven days a week for clients in their home, nursing home or assisted living facility. Extra Care includes skilled nursing care and non-medical services for people who need help with activities of daily living due to problems of aging, chronic conditions or disabilities. Services are tailored to meet individual and family needs.

Our Staff Includes:

  • RN's and LPN's providing skilled nursing services

  • CNA's providing assistance with activities of daily living, transportation, shopping or errands, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, recording vital signs and intake and output, transitioning patient from hospital to home.

  • Homemakers/Companions performing other tasks, as needed to enable the patient to remain at home.

Financial Considerations:

Care is provided on a fee for service, hourly basis with a four-hour minimum. Service can be one-time or ongoing 24 hours, seven days a week. You assume responsibility for the cost of care. Some private insurance may cover private duty care. The Extra Care staff will assist you in determining your specific needs and help evaluate your policy and plan benefits

Extra Care services are available to non-hospice patients as well as to our hospice patients. A physician's order is not required to receive service.
